Default Remove manufacturer link
I want to be able to enter the manufacturer on each product page, but I only want it for my own reference. I don't want it to show up in the sidebar. I found how to make Manufacture a category or put it under the Special category, but I don't want it there at all. Help?

I did search the forums and I did check the manual and the FAQ. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong sections but I couldn't find it.

You could use a product extra field, name it manufacturer. You can select it to not show to customers - then it will only be seen in the administration page.
