odd number of products - white space on product page

Default odd number of products - white space on product page
I'm wondering why it is on my two column product layout page that I have a white space when an odd number of products are in a particular category. I know I could add another product to make it even but this doesn't seem right.

Look at customer/main/products.tpl. Remove the 'dialog' box class from the 'spacer' table cell at the end.

Thanks for your input but I do not find a 'dialog' box class in products.tpl or in product.tpl for that matter.
