Hello All,

Just setting up a new look store using x-cart - http://teststreetortrackcom.siteprotect.net/home.php

My business partner and myself divide the workload of our store by where customers reside in the USA.

One of the tweaks I need to do is to get the customers US State and the subject line of the Contact Us form to display in the subject line of the emails sent to me. Instead of the:

Subject: Street or Track LLC: User filled in Contact Us form!

I would prefer to see where the US customer resides and whatever they typed into the subject line. This would enable us to see who answers what email instead of us both having to open every email to see where and what customers want...

open,

skin1/help/contactus.tpl file and find the code

<INPUT type="text" id="subject" name="subject" size="32" maxlength="128" value="{$userinfo.subject}">

and replace this....

<INPUT type="text" id="subject" name="subject" size="32" maxlength="128" value="{$userinfo.state}">

That didn't change anything...

My 'Contact Us' emails still come through with a subject line of:

Street or Track LLC: User filled in Contact Us form!

Any update on this? This is one thing about X-Cart that drives me nuts, and when my admins reply to customers with that subject I cringe. Just so unprofessional. PLEASE, someone, what's the trick?!
