Could somebody paste me the original code for the root static page index.html as I need to reload the original code

You mean the Welcome to X-Cart page? There isn't anything in there that you need as far as code, it is just a gateway page. It can be whatever you want it to be.

I am just trying to replace the x-cart logo with a pic of my own and I used this coding

<TD height="200" align="center">
[img]{$ImagesDir}/LD_888.jpg[/img]
</TD>

But the pic does not show up and I remember that there was a different code there before hand used to load the x-cart logo, but silly me forgot to save the original copy of that code

the part that was different is this part <IMG src="{$ImagesDir}/

Smarty tags won't work on the index page because Smarty isn't loaded yet. Here's the way the original page worked, just call your images this way:

[img]skin1/images/xcart_logo.gif[/img]

Been a while since you first set up your store...how is everything going?

Well I am doing another web site so it is not as traumatic as the first one....LOL

I still have to complete enterring the rest of my stock (about 35% or so to go) but have been too busy with business, have been overseas for May and have just brought a new office so the first web site had to take a back seat to more important things and since I have to be in the right frame of mind to enter stock and products I have decided to tackle the second web site first.
