I just purchased & had xcart installed

i was going to finish it off myself but it might as well be in greek...
i have no desire to learn a new language.... and not the time to learn

I need a few simple tweaks
i need a payment form that allows for mail order & i need a tweak in the detailed description area

Im finding the tech support from xcart blows chunks (to be kind)
and seems to only answer the questions they feel like
basically the only answer i ever get..that is.....hmm...we can do that..let me get back to you with a custom quote

well i think i would prefer to at least use someone who is in a time zone that i can call if i need to....and not have to wait until the equniox is in the proper position to get as reply in under 48 hours

i paid x cart for the custom work yesterday....24 hours too late

There's a couple of very good sites here that do mods. To name a few, cartmods.com, cart-lab.com, firetanksoftware.com and more.

These sites are all great and I personally would highly recommend getting with lildawg (xcartpros.com). He's very fair, honest, quick and extremely knowledgeable.

Xcart took forever on my upgrades as well so I stopped having them upgrade our store. You can also ask for a refund and they'll do it if they haven't started it yet.

really appreciate the heads up..... i had a couple of people respond to my posts, & i also emailed the few i saw on the message boards..

but no one seemed too interested...and a couple of them were too busy also might of been that its an adult site...i get that occasionaly... so i finaly just went with x cart...and after 2 weeks of emailing back & fourth to get it clear what exactly i needed done.....we finally got there...

Im having extra fields added to the payment methods, so i can add extra info specific to the payment method, displayed on the bottom of the invoice and also go in the email...such as the mailing adress if someone is placing a mail order.... or the fax number on the fax version... or payment information sepcific to paying with a PO if that was the choice

im also adding additional detailed description pages
I sell adult video, so along with the text i need a good number of pics..but adding those into the additional pics area can make the page size too big
and it would take too long to load

so im having it set up so i can define multiple pages of detailed descriptions.... that way by adding an additional page of pics the detailed description will have a link on the bottom for more info.. you click there & it takes you to the additional pics in the same cell that the orig description was...and at the last page it has a link back to the first page

one thing i still do need is some work on the invoice..ive looked at some of the mods on here...and def need a better looking invoice than this thing produces

i have yet to even get to the invoice...email thing ....lol
