![]() For anyone who is not familiar with the X-Cart dashboard, here are some screenshots and explanations that are more detailed than what was given in the previous thread.
1. I want to make changes to a set of results in X-Cart. 2. You reach the page where I want to make changes through an area in a sidebar called Categories: http://thecomputergal.com/Images/ScreenShots/X-Cart/X-CartCategories.jpg so, I will call that page, a Category page, the Category Page shows information about Products: http://thecomputergal.com/Images/ScreenShots/X-Cart/X-CartCategoryPage.jpg 3. The answer I received from my request to learn which file controls the information about the Products was "webmaster mode." Webmaster Mode is accessed through the menu items in the Dashboard. - http://thecomputergal.com/Images/ScreenShots/X-Cart/X-CartToolsMenu.jpg - http://thecomputergal.com/Images/ScreenShots/X-Cart/X-CartWebmasterModePage.jpg 4. Turning on Webmaster Mode results in a Firebug Console opening showing the file structure and the CSS layers. The web page shows some user interface changes in the Webmaster Page that indicate that this mode is on. http://thecomputergal.com/Images/ScreenShots/X-Cart/X-CartWebmasterModeOn.jpg 5. Clicking on the link to "Open customer area in a new window" results in the cart opening in an editable mode with the Console changing to information about that page. The text that turns green can be changed by clicking on it. http://thecomputergal.com/Images/ScreenShots/X-Cart/X-CartUserPageInWebmasterMo.jpg 6. Clicking on subsequent pages should have the same results, both on the page and in the Firebug Console.

![]() Just to clarify a bit to avoid any confusion:
Firebug is a separate tool from the consoles popped up by Webmaster mode. In your image, you have a Firebug session open on the Webmaster mode console. That Firebug session applies to the console, not to the page under debug, so it is likely not very helpful, and is not describing css on the page under debug. The Webmaster mode tool's console allows you to trace templates and view smarty variable settings on the page in question, but does not help much with debugging CSS and javascript. That is where a tool like Firebug or other similar inspection tools on different browsers come into play. ---
