I've got some custom pages that are missing the fly-out category search in the left bar when they load. I think I've narrowed it down to $fancy_use_cache not being set in my pages.

I've looked through the templates and PHP files and cannot find where this variable is set so I can set it in my pages also. Can someone point me to this?
