Hello

I have just purchased the x-cart 4.4 license and i have installed in on www.tashni.com .
How can i remove or edit the text at my home page saying "This is a demo store powered by X-Cart. Based on PHP template technology and integrated with an SQL database, it is a fully functional store that allows you to try X-Cart shopping cart software. As a buyer, you can browse products, put products into your cart and check out. As an administrator, you can add categories, products and change the look and feel of the store. If you have any questions please contact us.

This service is for demo purposes only. No real products. No real prices. No real charges. Please do not submit real credit card information.

To replace this text with a welcome message of your own, log in as administrator, select the Webmaster mode link in the Administration box, then follow the instructions."

can anyone help me on this ?

You have to edit the welcome.tpl file

is controlled by txt_welcome language variable

Can you please specify the exact folder where the welcome.tpl file is.
Though i have tried editing the one lying in skin/common_files/customer/main but theres no txt_welcome variable in it.

Actually you are not supposed to do that. I think is against your purchase agreement. What you have to do is register your store with QT - from your help desk account go to licenses and register the store url - this will take out the note from front and back cart ends

I think he is referring to the default text in welcome.txt. You can change that.
