Cloning Featured for extra "Sets" of featured items

Default Cloning Featured for extra "Sets" of featured items
My Clients would like to display 3 extra Sets of products as Featured for months.
There will only be 2 products in each new featured set.

For instance, hed like to show

Featured Products for This month (2 products shown formatted like regular products)
Featured Products for August (2 products shown formatted like regular products)
Featured Products for September (2 products shown formatted like regular products)

Im not quite sure what the best way to handle is. I could create special categories but Im not sure how Id display them on the home page in "sections". I could try to clone the Featured Mod?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
