Thumbs up Missing Files in X-Cart Default Install

Hello.

I notice that several files are missing or can not be found in x-cart 4.4

I see server error File does not exist:
public_html/skin/common_files/css/altskin.IE9.css,
public_html/skin/common_files/css/main.IE9.css,

Aslo little image (gif) file was missing that cause "security warning" to come up in IE, took long time to figure out what is happened.

I will update this posts with all missing files.
Please share your with info on where to get them.

Sometimes it is just permission on the server might cause this error.

but if I download latest X-Cart installations and can not find file that some of the X-cart files requests it mean they are missing, I guess.

Thank you for help.

So far I just rename altskin.IE8.css and main.IE8.css to ...9.css.

Does not damage any layout but stop generating error logs.
And stop "Security warning" as result of missing files.

It is not perfect but work for now.

Aslo should altskin.IE8.css be empty?

Hope someone will come up with something better soon.

The files are not "missing", XC loads IE based files depending on the version of IE. You can just create empty altskin.IE9.css and main.IE9.css, or copy altskin.IE8.css and main.IE8.css into altskin.IE9.css and main.IE9.css, next time someone tries to go to the site with IE8 altskin.IE8.css and main.IE8.css will not be found with the way you did it now

So you suggest to remove the empty altskin.IE8.css and altskin.IE9.css.

It show "missing files" in error log should i ignore it?

thank you

Do we have list of all files that need to be in each category?

Does such things (list of file or file index) exist?

thank you

You can create a list for yourself - just look in the install pack
