Redirect to cart not working

Default Redirect to cart not working
I have the Redirect customer to cart after adding a product enabled, however it is not redirecting to the cart.

I have version 4.4.1 of xcart and I have the Easy Variant View addon installed from BCS Engineering.

Does anyone know what I can check/change to allow this redirect to work?
