Default removing toll free phone

Hello,

I have a new shopping cart version and there is the annoying and so anti-aesthetic "toll free" + numbers & the international number too.

Using the webmaster mode, I was able to only remove the texts, but not the phone numbers. (only the text were in green and editable).

I would like to know what is the exactly FTP root that should I go to edit it and the name of the file ? Can I simply remove (delete) the file ?

Few other question if you can help me.

1- changing the skin will undo my changes ?
2-what is the appropiate root/folder to upload my pictures?

Thanks a lot David and talk to you soon.

David can you please list exact cart version in your signature - 4.4.x? You get better help as versions are different.

The phone numbers you are asking for are in admin/settings/company - just login there and change them to whatever you want.

Changing the skin will not undo whatever you modified but it may not load it if you modify it for a specific skin.

You don't upload images yourself - if you use the admin interface to assign images to products, categories, manufacturers XC uploades them in their appropriate directories, if you use CVS file to upload info you can upload images to new directory on the server and specify on the upload screen - XC will copy them accordingly.

Just so you know - http://forum.x-cart.com/showpost.php?p=250406&postcount=4 - there are few more directories in there but these are the main places

Hi Steve, thanks a lot for your help ! I have the 4.4.4 gold.

In my admin panel I dont have this root, i.e. "company".

I thought that uploading via ftp would be much more faster and easier, instead of using the admin panel interface which would require manipulation and one by one upload. So I guess I'm missing something and I must be completely lost.

Thank you for the link I will read it now.

By the way, nice skin of your site. really nice.

Best regards, David.

Login to admin, go to settings menu at the top, click on general settings, after page reloads on the right click on company

You can't just ftp images - XC has to populate the database with the info. So you do it either via the admin or by importing csv file - http://help.qtmsoft.com/index.php?title=X-Cart:Import-Export_Guide
