Cant Edit Templates

Default Cant Edit Templates
When I try to edit templates from admin page i get an error
ErrorFile operation is failed.
Any ideas on what it could be?

Do you have to change mod any directories so you can edit templates?

That's because your permissions are incorrect - the files need to be writable (666) to save them. You can change permissions via FTP or via your hosting control panel.

The templates are in the skin1 directory - but it is the files that need to be writable, not the directories.

Thanks Balinor, I worked it out.

Edited the ones in customer\ the template.tpl
