Ok, beginner question here. How do you add a link to a page? I'd like one at the bottom of the file upload page leading to the add product page. Is that a smarty edit or a php edit?

Just add a standard html link:

<a href="pagename.php">link text</a>

Always edit the templates, never the PHP files.
