Extra fields max out at 39?

Default Extra fields max out at 39?
I've set my extra fields at 50 in the general settings, but can't get more to add past 39.

I've got 39 and I am able to enter the details for number 40 but pressing 'add' doesn't add the field.

Has anyone experienced this?

Maybe you have mods installed using extra fields. Just a thought.
