Default move search box to top?
i need to move the search box to the top right of the screen in front of the graphic. What .tpl do i need to paste the search code into to make this happen?

Use webmaster mode to find the correct .tpl.

Or you could try posting an URL and we could guess which tpl it is based on your layout.

If your still using the default graphic that comes with Xcart you will edit the head.tpl. The search information is in the customer/search.tpl. These give the two areas in order to manipulate the search function.
