hi can some one tell me were i change the colour of the first line of the welcome text the bit thats says welcome to then name of site i have managed to change the rest of the text colours in skin1.css but cant find were this bit is

There isn't a specific style for it, you'll need to create one by surrounding the code with a <div> It is in customer/main/welcome.tpl

it was h3 in skin1.css

Ok, but be careful, as <h3> tags are used elsewhere as well.
