Reset Bestsellers List

Hi,

I was trying to locate on the backend (and then through searching the forum) for a way to reset 'bestsellers' so everything starts at zero again as our bestsellers doesn't reflect current sales anymore.

its doable, i believe it just requires that you reset your products' sales stats in your sql database (backup your database before attempting, just in case)

I am coming up with a solution for this which I am testing out at the moment

instead of resetting the bestsellers manually, it is a weekly bestsellers (which can be changed to monthly very easily)...it makes use of the advanced statistics module, php's date function, and a new table (2 cells) to keep track of when it was last updated

that's fantastic, as it would reflect what is 'hot' more than what statistically has been best over a period of years.
