I'm trying to edit templates in Dreamweaver but I am having no luck. I have downloaded and installed the Smarty Template extension for Dreamweaver like it says in some other posts but, when I try to edit a template all I get is a bunch of code inside some tables.

Anyone have any ideas?

Im using Dreamweaver 8, anyone got a link for a smarty extension ? or will the MX2004 one work ?

I didnt try those as they state they are for MX and 2004

I have though found this smarty template for DW, it doesnt say what version but is listed as May 2006 so is pretty recent

Just installed it with the extension manager on DW 8 and so far all seems to be working allright

When I try These extensions:

It does not recognize the if else smarty statements.

When I try these extensions:

It does not recognize the include files.It shows File Error!

Is anyone else having these problems?

I'm having exactly the same problem, using Dreamweaver 8 and it shows File Error whenever there's an include.

Did you solve it?

Nope, never did.

It might be a bad install. My help files don't work either.
