Totally new to this cart.

I would like to add any option fields to the product list page so the customer does not have to visit the details page to select options like color.

Currently the list page only allows the customer to select Quantity.

Can some one tell me which template to edit with which tags?
Or if it's possible?

Welcome to X-Cart! By default, the product options are only shown on the product detail page. It would take quite a bit of customization to get them to show on the products list I'm afarid, more than just template editing.

At some point later on, I will put this in as a wishlist item for future updates.

For now, I need to come up with a way to present the customers with a
parts list
of, say various colors and lengths of product.

It looks like there have been lots of attempts to do this,
Has anyone gotten it to work for 4.018?
