Is there a simple way to replace the wishlist button with a gif image?

I've had a look at the relevant files and as far as I can make out It's gonna take the editing of about 4 different files just to do this and also there will still be redundant calls on the database that we could all do without. There has to be an easier way?

Thanks Padraic, so I just throw that into all of my product templates? What about the {if wishlist active} stuff?

Yea, just replace the wishlist template call in product.tpl. Keep the if statement.

Thanks for your help Padraic but I can't get this working.. It displays the button but indicates a script error at the bottom left of the browser & doesn't add anything to the wishlist?
