Default Editing Recommended Products
Is there a way to disable or hide the Recommended Products Mod for some of the product pages?

You could use {if} statements to exclude certain product pages, yes. Could result in a huge amount of code if you have tons of product pages to hide it from.

Another solution would be to use the upselling links. Those will only appear on pages where you specify upselling products. Much better IMHO than the randomly generated recommended products anyway.
