Default Adding more fields to contact us form
Can I just simply edit the contactus.tpl to add more fields or does it require more?

You'll need to edit include/help.php and edit skin1/mail/help_contactus.tpl to support the new fields.

Default Also edit contactus.tpl
I would like to make some items (phone number and address mainly) not required but available and add a field "How did you hear about us"
I am not real familiar with php smarty and the like, but do understand well from examples.
