On the check out page where the user needs to agree to the terms and conditions, is it possible to add a check box that needs to be checked for the order to be processed?

I have seen this mod:

but its not what I'm looking for. I want it so that if the check box has not been checked and the customer has tried to process the form then it brings them back to this page, and gives them an error letting them know that they need to check the box before their order will be processed.

The solution posted in the thread you mentioned is a MUCH easier option. otherwise, you will have to make all sorts of modifications to the checkout processing files, javascript, etc.
