Email Verification
This topic has been raised in old posts, for example:
https://forum.x-cart.com/showthread.php?t=43360&highlight=email+verificatio n We are experiencing an increasing number of invalid email addresses, largely due to the inability of customers to type accurately on mobile screens. We allow customers to buy without registering (anonymous registration) and we do not want to use the email verification module which requires the customer to click on a link received in an email. Our preferred option is that suggested in the old posts where the customer has to enter their email twice, and it needs to match. Is the previously suggested code still valid for 4.7.8 ? Given that most of our customers are anonymous registrations, which template do we need to amend? |

The code is somewhat old, but the changes were minor tweaks. So there is a chance that it still works (provided the field names are still the same).

Thanks. The templates have changed a lot over the last 10 years, and I am hesitating about using these old modifications, and also struggling to find which templates need to be changed.
Customers typing their email addresses incorrectly must happen to everyone. I am interested to know how other people have dealt with this problem in the current versions of x-cart.
