I'd like to move my X-Cart 5.2.15 active store to a new hosting provider. Both hosting providers use cPanel. What's the easiest way to do that? Are there any instructions online?

cPanel provides backup/restore which you can use.

You can use cPanel to back up the store.
Also, in case you are interested in further backups of your cart, we have a module called 'Backup Master', it can back up your X-Cart with one click from the admin area.

cPanel WHM has a transfer tool that enables you to transfer (copy) over your entire account (not just the website, emails etc, the works). It works a treat. You can do the copy, check that it all works properly on the new server, and then migrate the ip address before finally deleting the old account on your old server. All it takes is the username/password of the new server, also running cPanel. It's fully automated and practically no effort involved.
