I have been using x-cart for a while and I never understood why x-cart only lets one person get an e-mail when the order is processed

1. I know I can take the orders e-mail and forward them to others creating forwarders in Cpanel. However that is not what I need for this one

2. I am doing a store that I will be using forwarders for when an order is placed

3. People that are coming to the store are in company districts across the USA
store manager 1 that has a district 1 manger needs to get an e-mail that a person in district one placed an order.

4. I DO NOT want district 3, 4, 5 to any other district manager to get a copy of the order. I know who the users are in district 1 and the users only get access from me so I know there e-mail.

5. When a order is placed by manager 1 the user gets the e-mail. NOW HOW DO I GET the email to the district manager 1 for that order.

What would be nice is adding more than 1 e-mail for manager 1.

Is that above possible?

You're not giving anyone else fulfillment status? Just sending emails is not enough. Fulfillment needs to have access for changing order status, adjustments for inventory issues, customer typo in ship-to address, PAYMENT confirmation and a host of other things that fulfillment access will get you.

The email notifications are just notifications.

I think you may need to rethink your fulfillment strategy - routing emails are the easy part (I would use gmail and filter by states).

I think I did not explain very good. This should be simple

When Joe Manager 1 orders something I want Joe's District manager to get a copy of the invoice.

When Bob orders something I want Bob's district manager to get an e-mail.

This store I have to give them access and I add their e-mail. All I would do is add another e-mail to Joe Manager 1.

Simple right.

General Settings > Company doesn't allow you to add more than one email address, but you can apply an SQL patch...

REPLACE INTO xcart_config VALUES ('orders_department','Orders department email address','first@email.com,second@email.com,third@email.com','Company',330,'text','','','email');

v4.5.5...

REPLACE INTO xcart_config VALUES ('orders_department','Orders department email address','first@email.com,second@email.com,third@email.com','Company',330,'text','','','email','');

May not work for everyone, but worked for me.

I like this idea instead of forwarding all the orders e-mail.

I think now I am getting better at the question of also what I want.

1. I control who goes into this store

2. I setup the users e-mail

3. I would like the ability of user 1 to have more than 1 e-mail

Is number 3 possible? Just to be simple user 1 orders something and her order goes to two e-mails instead of 1.

I would like to set user one to have 2 or more e-mails for her account in c-cart. Is this possible?

We have had some great answers on this so far.
