Hello I have a special offer for 50% off everything in a particular category...

How can I have the discounted price show in the special offers tab?

Brandon, it's not a simple task to show the price. The reason is the multitude of different types of special offers. You can have a percent discount, fixed amount, and there can be many variable conditions that may need to be met to recieve the discounted price.

I've done it before for a client, but it was pretty involved, and it limited the options they could choose and still show the price. Consider a simple message "See Discounted price when products are added to cart".

Put full price as list price and then your discounted price (1/2 list) as your price it will show as 50% off

I used this when it was a paid for module and had some good displays but that is quite a while back. I have been just modifying the price but I am going to start using this again for setting up in the future promotions that will run for 8 weeks each.

At present just put a simple one on but will be more involved when I get back into it.

June Highchair promotion available to 6:00pm 30th June 2013 10% off marked prices.
Discounted price will show when you click Add to Cart

It is on my home page and others, price only shows in cart but I'm sure it did used to show on the product.

A merchant who is serious about merchandising specials and sales and deals (not just discounts, but also gift with purchase, category or product specific grouping offers, etc...) MUST look at THE premier module for merchandising....

Altered Cart - On Sale :: Promotions, Sales & Specials

This mod can do just about anything. And if it can't do it stock, you can still probably find a way.
Use OnSale with a 1st-class banner system, and your merchandising options are pretty much endless.

This NOT to be confused with the mod from X-Cart with an identical name. AlteredCart's OnSale mod came first, and has been upgraded over the years with even more features. X-Cart poached the name and forced Altered Cart to rewrite their entire mod, because Xcart used the IDENTICAL table and variable names. It was a PITA for me too -- since when I upgraded from 4.1.9 to 4.5.4, I had to purge all old references and rebuild all sales....

But that's old news...
