Is it possible to just turn off the flyout menu module completely in 4.3.1?

I'm currently using the ArtisticsTune Template as a my base template and then customizing. The margin and other settings for center-main are causing display issues and I'd like to simply and not load as many CSS 'features' such as the flyout menus.

As a side note, has anyone created a 'simple' template that would be better suited for customization then the ones included with the product?

Go to 'Modules'. Disable it.

Thanks, I must have made a modification somewhere, because whenever I did that my menu disappears completely. So back to the second desire I've finding a simplified templat thate combines just HTML and CSS instead 100 TPL files.
