I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to add a new custom field type in the checkout/register section. Right now I can capture a phone number, but I would like to split this into 3 boxes to make sure the user understands we require the area code in addition to the rest of the number.

I'm not sure if anyone knows where I could start to edit this.
