Move customers details from v4.1.8 to v4.4?

Hi is it possible to move all you current customers details and previous orders etc from v4.1.8 over to v4.4

Iam not sure i could do this might have to pay someone else, or would it be to much bother and ask your customers to re-rigister.

That's what the upgrade kits are for - check your helpdesk area for 4.1.12->4.4.0 upgrade kit. You will have to also upgrade from 4.1.8 to 4.1.12 first

Iam doing a complete new install ive got to many modifications in my old store so would have to pay someone to do the upgrades for me which worked out to expensive, hence why iam doing a new build then once done i'll delete my old site and move v4.4 into root.
So an upgrade isn't going to work for me.

The 4.1.12->4.4.0 upgrade upgrades db only - exactly what you need

There is no other way to move your data than to upgrade it first - they are just sql patches, you don't actually upgrade the files.

Having fun updating.
I ran the db updater to go from 4.1.8 to 4.1.12. It completed ok, the site looks ok.
But when I tried to go from 4.1.12 to 4.4.0, it said I was the wrong version.
So I manually edited the version record in the config table, to say I was now 4.1.2.
Then the 4.4 upgrader could not find the validation column in the config table.
I've been browsing through past intermediate db upgrade sql, but can't find when this column was added.

Anyone know?
