My prices are on EURO, how can i hide the $$ prices?

I use euro as primary currency. How can i hide the prices with the $?

Simply empty the field for alternative currency rate in Admin, General Settings.

yes i am clearing that field "Alternative currency symbol (empty to disable). Note that credit card charges are made using primary currency"..

I tried also to clear the currency exchange rate and the my prices turned to e.g €21.90 (0$)

My primary currency symbol is the &.#.8.3.6.4.; (i put the dots otherwise it turns to symbol) and not the €. Qualiteam told me to use that. you think it has anything to do with that?

weird thing.. I gone to mysql and cleared the value of the alternative currency and worked. It didn't returned.. I don't know why from the xcart admin it was returning.. Anyway, all ok. Thank you mate

Yes, I was going to suggest that as a workaround next.
If you have any other fields not updating, could be a problem with your installation. Don't forget you aren't using a stable version of x-cart, so that could be the reason.

4.2.1 is not a stable version? And which is the stable version? 4.3? Coz from what i know if you upgrade to 4.3 you have to remake the design..
