Is there anyway to pull random products from X-Cart and display them on my forums?

Default Is there anyway to pull random products from X-Cart and display them on my forums?
Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for a way to put some random or featured products from the X-Cart directory and have them displayed on my vbulletin forum home page. I know where to put the code at in the forums, I'm just now sure how to create the code. Both are using a different database. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

If you give the code which will return some HTML code with a description of the product, you can insert it into a forum?

Which fields should be displayed? how many products appear?
