![]() Has anybody successfully installed and used this mod? It sounded like exactly what I was looking for, but after spending many hours installing the mod, my store is now unusable. I can't checkout, modify product options, or presumably do anything that calls mod-cartupdater.php. I get the following error:
The encoded file <my site and xcart dir>/mod-cartupdater.php is not permissioned for <my site's IP address> Anybody else seen this error? Or do you know of a similar product mod that allows you to choose between checkboxes, radio buttons, and drop down menus? A mod that includes an install script would be swell too. Heather

![]() Hi Heather,
Interesting - as I have not seen this module before... and I also do not know of any module which does exactly the same thing that this one does. This seems to be a custom coded module (probably designed for the person's own store, which they are choosing to also sell to other x-carters). However your error message / problem, sounds to me like... an issue whereby the encrypted php file for this one module, which holds your domain license for this domain module, is either being applied onto a different domain than it was purchased for OR the module is checking the IP address (and this is not listed correctly in the encrypted file). Basically it seems to be a check for the IP address or domain name this module is licensed to problem - where the module is failing due to the domain not matching this one modules license file. Most of the module suppliers for x-cart, use this sort of encrypted license - to ensure that the module can not be freely passed out (and needs to be paid for again if used on a different store or domain). I suggest you contact the person you bought this custom module from and ask them to check what domain / IP they have licensed this module for? (perhaps also tell them you current domain name and IP address - hopefully they are licensing it to a "domain name" and not an IP address, as if you change servers later, most likely your IP address would also change making this module useless on the same store if it is hosted on a new server later). I saw the site you mentioned does not have a contact e-mail address... and I am not sure you know how otherwise to check the e-mail address being used for the payment or if it was shown when you paid... However, In the view source of the page that you provided, I noticed that the module supplier can be contacted at "david@fabric8d.com". Hope comments help - cheers, Asiaplay

![]() I licensed it to the domain and not the IP. The domain may have been wrong, but I copied and pasted that in, so I assumed its not.
