I just looked at the BCSE backorder mod but it doesn't seem to have what I'm looking for.

My customers often don't see backorder notices despite them appearing in big red letters. Call it wishful thinking.

An approach is I've seen and like is a checkbox for backordered items that say, "I understand this is on backorder until DD/DD/DDDD" before the customer can add it to the cart. Anyone seen an x-cart module along these lines?

Have you asked BCSE if this is something they could inergrate into the product. I would also be interested in the modif that was incorperated.
