![]() Can someone create a quick hack that will either
1. Be a button that, when clicked, opens the order_data.tpl for the individuals particular order in a printer friendly window so only the needed data for the mailed in order is ready to go? or 2. Be a button that, when clicked, simply open the printer options window and then will print the contents of the individuals order_data.tpl info? Those would be the quickest ways, from what I can see. |

![]() I did a mod like this, but it was rather expensive.
I added a "Print Invoice" link on the orders menu that, when clicked, automatically sent the invoice to the printer, no confirmation boxes or anything. I had to use ScriptX from MeadCo (http://www.meadroid.com/) which is $350 / year for 10 licenses. You can't buy it for any less than $350 -- I asked. They DO have a free version, but it only works from your local machine. I'd be happy to answer any questions that you have. It was pretty easy to set up, though, with the downloadable examples they have. --Kurt |

![]() Why would you spend so much money for a small little thing like send to printer?
All you need is some sorta link that opens the .tpl file in a new window without the shell around it. This would be a printer friendly page. Then you just go to File - Print and you are all set. |

![]() John,
I did a store for a company that processes 20 - 30 orders a day average and 50+ orders / day during Christmas. They were willing to spend $350 to save however many minutes per day it took them to open each new order, open each new invoice page, then click file, print, ok. And, since they were at it, we resold some of their licenses to other stores we operate that wanted similar functionality. So, they get a bit of a rebate whenever another store wants to add their own "autoprint" functionality. I also combined this technology with checkboxes, so now they can check any orders they want printed, then hit "print" and the printer just spits out the invoices with no more trouble. --Kurt |
