Checkout has no menus!
Is it just me because my checkout does not show any menus at all and I do not like the way it look. You would think the checkout would look a lot nicer then what it does. I guess I have more work to do. Just when I thougt I was almost done.

Re: Checkout has no menus!
Every market place and the customers within are different, but best practice for a checkout would suggest remove the distractions at this point. Abandoned carts are always a problem, and one reason for this is customers wandering off. Stop them wandering off by removing the menus. This is one of the biggest differences and most request changes to 4.1 - this much improved checkout. Still room for improvement - but no menus is normally a good thing. I make a point of removing them from all my 4.0 sites.

Re: Checkout has no menus!
If you turn off the fast lane checkout module, you'll get the old method back.

Re: Checkout has no menus!
This is one issue that I am always questioning myself, and the experts.
In our usability testing, about 50% (that sounds like a lot, in our case, 2 users) wanted to get back into the store after checkout, and of course they can, but it's 2 clicks away if you use FLC in 4.1 (or in our case, a modified FLC). As a comparison, at Amazon, there is NO WAY to get back to the store once checkout begins. My wife, the ultimate web consumer (and the harshest critic of amazon there is) HATES THIS. I may find a way to one-click back to the store from the first page of the cart. Look, if they are getting out the credit card, you really want to focus on closing, not upselling at this point, right? BUT -- I have more than a few abandoned carts - and I wish I could do an exit poll: WHY did you abandon? My short-list has add a "keep shopping" link to FLC... I will report back if it gets used.
