![]() Is there a coupon generator mod that will generate a random coupon text string for a customer if he placed an order. For example if the customer places an order of $50-$100 then he/she would get an automated email which includes a one time use coupon of $4.00 off of $50.00. And if its over $100.00 get a $8.00 off coupon for their next purchase. The coupons should be generated and emailed to the customer when we change the status of the order to completed.
If there isn't a mod is there anybody able to create this mod? If so please pm me.

![]() I have been looking for something like that if you find it let me know. I also need a feature that if I have a sale going on they can't use the coupon. This might be something that could be in a new mod maybe x-cart or some of the mod companys could give this a shot

![]() I just bought something from a vendor using Zen Cart. They have it set up so if you are a first time customer and register and buy something, at the end of the checkout you get a coupon code generated which gives you $10 off of your next purchase. You get two emails, one is a regular invoice and the other is the coupon code. This seems like the idea way to bring in a second sale. Wish there was something like that with x-cart.

![]() You could easily do this....
Simply add a function to generate the coupon code, then pass the coupon code to the sql table relevant to the X-Cart coupons system. After successful insert you could pass this information through an array to the mail() function and then onto the customer. I know I've not posted a solution per-say but it gives you some idea of the process and how to get a start "thinking" how this could work. I'd start looking at how the registration process works as this creates database information for the customer so modification to do another insert for the coupon would be pretty easy if you ask me. Regards, Mark

![]() Yea,
Our UK Consumer web site has been very popular this year alone. We've seen record E-commerce sales since my introduction to the company as well so I am very happy that I am delivering my promises to my employers. I think anything that gives consumers an incentive to make repeat purchases can only be a good thing. We use a mix of this in our delivery plans too. Sending customers a printed voucher with their first order so they can then logon to the site with it at a later date. Also providing the printed leaflet gives for a more personal touch. Cheers, Mark
