Without looking at your code, I would guess that...

Your image needs to be made a background in the table that you are working on. Right now it is an placeheld image and the Search field is a line break after it.

This appears to be pretty basic html editing. Again, I would recommend using DreamWeaver in WYSIWYG mode.
