Hello,

Quick question - I've implemented the gift certificate mod on my site and I've formatted it on the menu the way I want it - now which .css file do I change to change the font from red to black?

Gift certificates are a standard feature...do you mean some sort of add-on gift certificate enhancement? As far as finding which css file to edit, open the site in Webmaster Mode, find the template it references, and check the code to see which styles are called. Moving to Template Editing.
