I was wondering if someone would know the answer to this. I need to preview the Thank you for purchasing page because of fixing up some customisations to it, but I want to know if there is any way at all to go directly to the Thank you page without actually buying any products? eg variables in the URL, or any way at all.

Any reason you can't put in a test order to view the thank you page? You can also preview the individual tempaltes by browsing to them in the 'Edit Tempalates' section and using the 'preview' button at the bottom of the screen.

You can also enable a "testing" credit card (manual processing) method -- use visa 4111111111111111 exp 12/08 cvv2 123;

Go to town.

If your site is live and a customer uses manual processing, run it through your terminal. OR -- change the payment method label to "Manual Processing - for TESTING PURPOSES ONLY - DO NOT USE!" or something like that. Don't forget to turn it off when you're done testing.

When I do a test order, it takes me through to an external payment gateway before it takes me to the thank you page. Problem is, I've tried the 4111111111111111 Visa trick but it's been disabled with that merchant.

I'm going to try looking around the templates and see if I can find what I need there. Thanks for that suggestion.

I was hoping there would be some easy way like variables in the URL I could use to trick it to get me to the thank you page without purchasing, but oh well, I will find a way to do it.

You could also enable a dummy payment method like Money Order....won't charge any cards but will give you the same confirmation page.
