What, specifically, was done to improve the incorporation or handling of static pages in 3.4?

Yeah - a demo version I am using for testing. Haven't done anything at all to it yet, though. I just wondered if they had changed anything obvious you could point out that makes the HTML page inclusion easier. Like if you look at some of my early posts regarding the process on 3.3.5, you'll note that to me it seems very complicated. Has the process changed any?
