![]() Ok probably a simple answer to this one.
Scenario -------------- When a customer places an order they get the emails from whatever is in general settings/company details/Orders department e-mail address: but the problem is for any order enquires they need to contact a different email address, is it possible for the orders still to go through to general settings/company details/Orders department e-mail address: but the email the customer recieves has a from field of the other address??? the problem is that people are getting the email but if there is a problem with the order they are just doing reply to and so it goes to the wrong department. is it better/easier to make some change to the x-cart so that it shows a different email address for the customer but the order still goes to one defined in the settings or edit the template to just say in it that all enquiries should be sent to blah.blah@blah.co.uk. If possible the first one would be better as it would stop point blank people replying to the wrong address. If the first can be done anyone got any ideas how? and if the second which is the mail template that I would need to edit to add the extra wording into the email for the customer? TIA |

![]() cotc,
this is possible - would need to amend the reply to in the respective mail function in func.php this is line 130 in func.php BIG BUT - this is for all emails - is it what you really want? If not a new mail function needs to be written that takes a reply address or is hardcoded with a reply to address. Not a lot of work - honest. ![]()

Awwwww I just sent you a cheque ![]() ok PM me with the quote (as yup you are right not on all emails) what about the other idea of just changing the mail template so as to say "Please do NOT respond to this email all Enquires should be redirected to blah@blah.co.uk" Which template should I edit to do that. |

![]() thanks mate
![]() got my child's education to think of, and holidays, new car, yacht, island in the Virgin Isles etc. ![]() Template edit would be easier - need to do the order_customer_processed.tpl one. OR edit: eml_order_processed in languages ...much easier and one minutes work ![]()
