Default Changing the States drop-down list
I'd like to change the states dropdown list to get rid of the "US:" in front of each one, since it makes it harder for people to get to their state (I always try to hit the first letter).

If I find the file and change it to remove the US: from each state, will it screw up people's profiles? I want to make sure I don't hurt anyone's account.

Where is the list of states stored? I would like Other blanked out, and can't figure out where this is stored. Thanks.

main/states.tpl. Comment this out:

<OPTION value="{if $value_for_other ne "no"}Other{/if}"{if $default eq "Other"} selected{/if}>{$lng.lbl_other}</OPTION>

Commenting out in 4.1.4 worked to remove the "Other" from the drop down list.
