Default What template to edit

Hi,

I have the original skin1 - 2 column layout.

I am trying make a few changes to the look of my shop. Is there a guide anywhere or can someone tell me the correct template to edit to acheive the following. I've tried the debugging thing but it just leads me to a template with lots of includes and I cannot see anything relavant to the page I am trying to change.

1. I hate the green text on the Vertical Menus I would like to change it to Dk Blue or Black.

2. Still with the verical menus - I do not want the hyper link on the 'Help' label. The page links are listed underneath - I cannot find this anywhere.

3. I want an additional Menu box 'Customer Area' where I can put links pages of projects for downloading etc. Embedded pages are put into the help menu - I was going to add a new folder somewhere in Xcart and put all these type of pages there. How can I do this/

4. Where do I edit the pages contained in the 'help' menu - I ended up creating my own embedded pages - now I have 2 privay, 2 Terms etc. I want to either edit the original or delete the origina and use my new ones?

5. I have disabled the Speed bar - I would like to move the customer login to occupy that space ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Viv

Thanks for that.

I have found many of the templates and made some changes. But I cannot resolve the following

I cannot change the colour of the text on the side menus - I thought it was this line in skin1.css

.VertMenuTitle {
BACKGROUND-COLOR: #081589; COLOR: #000000; FONT-SIZE: 12px;
}

but the text colour remains green I want it to be white on a dark blue background. There is also green text on the other menu and on the dialogues.

Which line controls this am I looking in the wrong place.

Thanks

Have a look in the templates that are displaying the text you want to change. See what classes are being called.

Thankyou,
I have been able to changes nearly all of the text/colours I wanted apart from one.

I cannot change the text size of the short description. (Catalogue listing) I have looked in skin1.css and in products.tpl. Is there another template hiding somewhere?

Thankyo again

You may find it is coded like this:

<FONT size="1">

{$products[product].descr|truncate:300:"...":true}

</FONT>

So you can just increas the 1 to a 2.

However, you would be best removing that and adding your own css class.
