Hi everyone,

This must be an easy one because I can't find a post about it...

I would like to remove the edit screen and also put products on the homepage, not the other welcome message.

Can someone tell me where to do this?

Edit customer/main/welcome.tpl. To add products to the home page, just click on 'Categories' and add featured products, at the bottom of the screen.

I have gone to customer/main/welcome.tpl but can't see where to change the welcome text. Please help. Thanks.

in v 3.5 the welcome text was actually a lnaguage variable, so there were 2 options,

1. Comment out language variable in template, something like lng.txt.welcome

2. Edit language variable so it is empty

Don't know if it's the same for v4 but might give you an idea of where to look,

I know I replied to a thread that had to do with deleting the text in the welcome message but what I really want to do is edit it???

Please disregard - I found it.

Just click on "languages" in your admin area and edit the welcome text variable or open your site up in Webmaster Mode and edit it on the fly.
