Categories Divided
I am quite bad at altering code, and i'm sure something like this is simple for an experienced php person.
My site is apparel-based. It was originally divided between two main categories, men and women. Unfortunately, I believe it is a bad way to go that route as it hinders search engine placement as my categories go 4 layers deep. What I am looking to accomplish is a simple alteration of the categories menu. This is my current layout for my categories using the fashion mosaic template: http://www.mylengthwise.com/categories.jpg I am seeking to change the word "Categories" to Men. I am then looking for the same underlining line and image which is currently under categories to be duplicated and moved down the menu and titled "Women." Then categories could be added, from a positional value of lets say 0-150, under men, and categories from 160-300 under women. For some hours I did try various posts which had to do with this alteration 'somewhat', but had no luck. I then proceeded to mess with categories.tpl and couldn't get anything going for me. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help me accomplish this or some sort of Heading dividend.

Look in the Custom Mods forum, there are a couple there that will accomplish this, as I did the same thing on one of my sites.
