![]() I can not seems to be able to change the txt_welcome in the language section of admin. If I edit one or two words...no problem, but when I edit the whole chunk (with or without using HTML) I find that the changes will not take effect. I am currently using the 3.3.1 version (I opted not to use the patch as I haven't hair left from pulling them out)
![]() Is the above a permissions thing? What should be changed as I set skin1 & original skin one to 777. Skin1 was actually -R 777. ![]() |

![]() Might want to try forgetting the silly lng file altogether. Go to the file...
customer/main/welcome.tpl Find where the lng file is inserted, delete it and enter your customized code. IMHO the lng stuff is only needed if you run your cart in several languages.

![]() SiriusA:
When you edit the 'big chunk' -- are you manually editing it in the little tiny input box, or are you pasting it in? If you are pasting in text from somewhere else, you might want to just make sure that there are no extra returns or other spurious characters in the pasting that are defeating your edit. I paste *only* text that was copied from my text editor or HomeSite. Not from Word, Email, Web Browser, or anything else. deb |

![]() The language fragments are not held in files, but in the database, so it isn't a file permission thing.
I'm not familiar with your text editor ... and I know it's a pain, but try typing the whole thing in the form box, and see what happens. Maybe you're grabbing a return or two or something and the form is balking. deb |
