The images on the homepage editor appear fine in the editor window and perfectly in preview. But do not appear on the homepage site. Cleared cache and regenerated images to no avail. Some Text appears but nothing else.

Your path to the images incorrect. You are using ../images/ - it should be images/ because XCart is running at your top level directory, not a sub directory.

I am not sure what you mean by "home page editor" - but it probably works when you are in the administration because you are running in the admin sub directory - so the path to the images is different then the customer front end of the shop.

Much thanks. The images now appear on the web homepage. Under admin is what is called a "homepage editor". It could be the programmer who i hired to set this up placed this editor there for me to control the homepage content. Although the images now appear on the website, they do not appear on the editor or in preview. I will inform the programmer and I guess he will have to adjust the paths.

Perhaps you could suggest another solution to a problem with editors. I loaded fckeditor which works super for static pages. the only issue is that when I click preview, the images come up for a split second and then disappears. The preview popup page stays but remains empty and the task bar keeps processing.

Yes - that is a custom mod - you will have to talk to your developer about it.

I can't advise on the fck editor installation - perhaps someone else can comment or you can start a new thread with your specific question.

For static pages - you might consider always placing your images in skin1/images, then check "Parse Smarty tags in the content of embedded page" and reference the images with <img src= {$ImagesDir}/

That will always provide the correct path, and work for both http and https.

But - this would be done outside the WYSIWYG, so it requires a little more understanding of uploading the image files directly and editing html code - so it depends on your comfort level.
