Disable Paypal Payments Pro?

We just launched a long overdue website upgrade from a very early v4 to v5.

Along the way we configured Authorize.net to handle credit cards and Paypal Checkout for Paypal payments.

Years ago for the old site I recall having to setup a Paypal Payments Pro account and have been paying $30 every month ever since.

It is not clear to me if we still need Paypal Payments Pro or not. Paypal's website is a disaster if trying to find information so asking here.

Paypal Payments Pro requires the use of X-Payments. If you are not using or don't want to use X-Payments you do not need Paypal Payments Pro (as you cannot use it). I believe PayPal Checkout (as well as PayPal Standard) does not require Paypal Payments Pro or X-Payments.

Switched to Stripe a long time ago, they're way better than PayPal. I still have to accept PayPal because so many people have it but I wish I didn't.

Simply find the PayPal method in Store Setup > Payment methods section and disable it. Or you can also disable/delete the PayPal module from My Addons section.
